If you like to play golf, you will love golf in Thailand! One of the world’s best-kept secrets is how many beautiful, top-class golf courses there are in the “Land of Smiles”.
Professionally designed courses sculpted from the lush nature of the Thai jungle lead to many pleasurable yet challenging rounds of golf.
The tropical weather in Thailand and the hilly terrain produce a great mix of colourful bushes, gently rolling fairways lined with palm trees and exotic flowers, and some spectacular views.
All Thailand golf courses insist that you pay for the services of a caddie. Most of them are female – young and friendly and will take care of your clubs, rake the bunkers, and help you read the greens.
The beautiful smiling caddies also use their course knowledge to help you avoid trouble and give you yardages to the green or to hazards. The Thai sense of humour is refreshing and spontaneous and you will find it difficult to not enjoy even a challenging day on the links.
Prices vary by course but the usual “Caddie Fee” is around ten US dollars and most golfers tip a similar amount if pleased with the service.
