Greenwood Golf Club, formerly called Noble Place, first opened on April 2, 1993. The golf course consists of 27 holes, divided into 3 nines, each meant to reflect different golf styles, Links, British and American. The layout uses flowing fauna and natural landscaping among tree-lined rolling hills to provide a scenic environment. There are many deep bunkers to add challenges to your experience.

Water hazards are a rare feature on the A Course but play a more significant role on several holes on the B Course, starting with the testing short par-4 1st, which doglegs right to left around a pond. A mix of pot bunkers and clover-leaf sand traps around the greens are possibly more forgiving than the clinging Bermuda semi-rough, which awaits any stray approach shots.

The B and C Course’s characteristic pot bunkers and areas of native grass require particular skills to escape from the first time. Lots of fairway undulations give a links-style feel to this hilly parkland setting. Shot planning is a must to avoid numerous pot bunkers awaiting errant shots. The 3 nine holes present a challenging layout requiring ingenuity, careful club selection, and precision driving.

The clubhouse facilities include decent locker rooms, a pro shop, and a large restaurant with a balcony that overlooks the A & B courses. Enjoying a cold beer outside on the balcony with the sun setting behind the rolling hills provides a satisfying end to a fun day. Greenwood is one of the longest distances for courses considered local to Pattaya, but it is worth the extra time to experience this low-cost gem.
